"From the region of Jumilla, which has been experiencing ever-growing popularity, comes this fresh and supple rosado. The monster of a grape - Monastrell - is blended with Syrah to make a wine with enticing scents of strawberries and cream along with flavors of crushed berries. Round and rich, with a beautiful berry-infused finish." - Winery
70% Monastrell, 30% Syrah.
The grapevine and the olive tree – cultural icons rooted in a land bathed by sunshine – have represented the Olivares family from its birth. Pascual Olivares Fernández began producing small quantities of wine in 1930 to supply his region; the genesis of today’s Olivares family winery. Their love for Jumilla’s harsh, beautiful landscape feeds their passion for wine and its production. That passion moves Olivares to create natural, unique wines; wines that faithfully represent the region’s singular terroir. The transformation of the prized Monastrell into wine is as natural process as possible. Fermentation is allowed with only wild yeasts; a process that preserves the grape’s character without masking it.
