This wine is a select blend of wines grown in a handful of Napa Valley vineyards, including our estate vineyards in the northeast corner of Napa Valley. Each lot in the blend was carefully aged in French oak barrels before the final cuvee was assembled. The Merlot and Cabernet Franc in the blend add complexity to the aroma and flavor while softening the muscular tannins of the Cabernet Sauvignon. True to the outstanding, ripe 2007 vintage, the wine shows the berry, dark cherry fruit notes of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with a touch of earthy, leafy notes from the Cabernet Franc.
